Julius Peppers Remained in Panthers Locker Room During Anthem

New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers: Prediction, preview, pick to win

"As you saw, that wasn't the way it went". The Saints were 6-of-12 for 50%.

Klein made six tackles and led a defense that swarmed Cam Newton into multiple mistakes.

Newton threw three interceptions and seldom threw downfield during a disspiriting loss to New Orleans. Never takes much does it? And second-year cornerback Ken Crawley had a couple of big-time plays after being a healthy inactive the first two weeks. "But we've got 14 more games".

"I think we need a little bit more wisdom in that office, and that's being a little blunt, but that is how I feel", Payton said. But on Sunday, the last-ranked Saints had no issues containing the Cam Newton-led Panthers offense.

Even with Olsen, the Panthers had trouble scoring, averaging just 16.0 points in wins against San Francisco (23-3) and Buffalo (9-3).

It was a day of firsts for three Saints rookies. Marcus Williams had an interception so ridiculous, it nearly defies belief knowing how often it seems Saints defenders drop potential interceptions.

"I'm not living my life out there trying to make everybody happy", Peppers said. They sure did against the Panthers. "For him to make the statement and the way he did, it's not what I consider presidential".

By now you know how the National Football League, it's players and some of its owners, responded to President Donald Trumps comments Friday night. "It's Tom Brady, and that's all you've got to really say about him". Adjust your consumption of NFL-related content as you see fit. Once again, it is all offense and no defense for the Saints in 2017.

I know this: Newton can't beat the Saints standing on the sideline. That last number might be an exaggeration but it feels accurate.

The Saints were as balanced as they have been in quite some time. So, the Saints defense allowed 224.5 less yards of offense, including 210 less yards passing, and the Saints allowed 8 less first downs against the Panthers.

"I want to get one thing clear and I want to let you guys know that this wasn't about disrespecting the military, disrespecting the flag, police, first responders, none of that".

Carolina trailed for the first time this year, but then it worsened for the Panthers.

DEFENSE: You have to love what the Saints were able to accomplish defensively, and this is the kind of performance that should give the unit confidence going forward.

New Orleans enters play at 0-2 and in last place in the NFC South. "I'm calling for a burn of all Saints memorabilia!"

But that wasn't the case Sunday during Carolina's 34-13 loss to New Orleans.

Ralph Malbrough is a Saints fan living in Houston.
