ODI: Australia fight back to victory

India vs Australia Rohit Sharma Sharpens Skills Ahead Of 4th ODI

Australia opener David Warner thumped a sensational 124 to lead his side to a 21-run consolation win over India in the fourth ODI in Bangalore. We lost a few wickets again but Handscomb was very good at the end. However, India have managed to discover one of their own in Kedar Jadhav. Dhoni was out for a 10-ball 13 in the 48th over which extinguished India's hopes.

Gavaskar's remarks came amidst the onging 5 match ODI series against Australia which Kohli and Co has already claimed by 3-1. But such has the performance of Team India been that any deviation from the line of excellence is considered a grave offence.

Soon after Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli was sent back at the individual score of 21 runs.

"I thought we were a little bit too wide with the new ball, could have been straighter, but the bowlers pulled it back nicely towards the back end", said skipper Steve Smith. So even if Sharma makes 20 runs or less half the time he goes in to bat, his ability to hit the occasional big score will weigh significantly in his favour.

And when Coulter-Nile bowled Kohli off an inside edge two overs later, the third time he's dismissed him in four matches, Australia were on top.

Hardik Pandya walked out to resounding cheers from the stadium, and he did not disappoint.

There was more joy: consecutive sixes off Zampa that cleared the fence by some distance. Pandya was out hitting to long on. There was finally some comfort for Zampa, and some for Australia. "Elect to bat first in the 4th Paytm ODI at Bengaluru #INDvAUS".

Virat Kohli made three changes to the side from Kolkata's win, with Umesh Yadav, Mohammed Shami and Axar Patel coming in for Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav. But with wickets falling at regular intervals, India finished their quota of overs at 313/8.

Yuzvendra Chahal did not escape punishment either. Australia were in cruise mode, bringing up the 100 in 16 overs.

A blistering 231-run opening stand between Aaron Finch and David Warner laid the platform for the tourists.

Warner was caught at long on in the 35th over.

Manish Pandey (a 25-ball 33) and Kedar Jadhav (65) then added 61 runs for the fifth wicket. The hosts had the upper hand but played questionable shots off short, low-lying deliveries to give away their wickets.
